Gorgeous Butterfly Maiden Kachina made out of multiple inlaid stones and shells.

“The Butterfly Maiden Kachina is a prominent figure in Hopi and Zuni mythology and ceremonial life. It represents spring, fertility, agricultural renewal, and the life-giving rain necessary for the crops.”

Stones/Shells: Turquoise, Jet, Lapis, Mother of Pearl, Gold Lip Mother of Pearl, and Coral.

Some stones and shell are carved to add texture to piece.

All Sterling Silver backing.

Attached bale at the top with 1/8 of an inch opening and 1 1/2 inch pin on the back.

Piece comes with stone base to help keep Kachina on display when not wearing.

Entire piece is 4 1/4 inches tall (includes base), and 2 1/2 inches wide, base measures 2 1/2 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide and 1/4 of an inch thick.
